Welcome Summer With Labyrinth Walk!
The longest day, Summer Solstice June 21st, will be
marked with a contemplative walking of a labyrinth on
the lawn of Walpole Unitarian Church on Main Street.
The Rev. Telos Whitfield will offer the community observance
at noon Sunday, June 21st and 28th.
Labyrinth patterns are tools for centering the mind
and creating inner peace. The combination of outer
movement and inner stillness allows insights to surface,
a question to be viewed from every direction.
"My experience with the labyrinth was really calm and peaceful..." -9th grade confirmation class student
The seven-circuit concentric design is common to
many European medieval labyrinths. Weather permitting it is expected to last through the July 4th weekend.
