NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Walpole Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the Walpole Town Hall. The following formally submitted applications will be reviewed by the Board for completeness, and if complete, accepted by the Board and the Public Hearings will be held.
Appledore Engineering Inc, Gretchen Young, agent, representing The Hutton Company and Estate of Charles and Pearl Keefe, presents two applications. Both applications will be located at 549 Main Street (Route 12). Map 012-019-001 known as the “Keefe parcel. The lot size is a 1.26 acre parcel and is in the Commercial District.
Hearing 1. Variance of Article IV Section D-6 of the Walpole Zoning Board Sign Ordinance. The Zoning ordinance states signs shall be permitted no larger than 32 square feet within the Commercial District. Appledore Engineering requests a variance to place a 36.04 square feet sign on the front of the proposed Dollar Store building.
Hearing 2. Special Exception of Article IV, Section D-9 of the Walpole Zoning Ordinance. A sign may be located between 10 and 60 feet off the traveled roadway by Special Exception from the Zoning Board when the Board is satisfied the provisions of Article IV will be met and that the sign as placed will not have an adverse effect on abutting property. Appledore Inc. proposes to place a low monument sign less than the required 60 feet from the middle of Route 12.
Hearing 3. Special Exception of Article V Section 6-a-d .Ola Hubbard Homestead, LLC., represented by Ralph Smith requests a Special Exception to add a one bedroom apartment to an existing two family dwelling located at 16 Old North Main Street, Walpole, NH. The property is located on Map 021-038-000, a .81 acre lot in the Residential B district. The proposal is to renovate an existing garage into a one bedroom apartment.
