Longer days and blooming flowers signal the return of the annual Spring Craft Fair at the Walpole Town Hall, on Saturday, May 2, 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. This year’s event features 30 local artists displaying superb work, including members of the Walpole Artists Cooperative, Saxtons River Artists, and Cheshire Craft Guild. Artists will be selling beautiful handmade work including quilts, woodcarving, wooden toys, framed photography, watercolor paintings, fiber and textile art, note cards, handmade fragrant soaps and lotions, jewelry, painted glassware, homemade jams, tea and scone mixes, baby items, baskets, and pottery. There will be lots of great gifts suitable for Mother’s Day (May 10), Father’s Day (June 21), weddings and graduations. St. John’s Café will be selling baked goods and light lunch throughout the day. Dealing directly with local artists is a great way to buy beautiful work at reasonable prices. Support local artists and come to the Walpole Spring Craft Fair!
