Art After School, an innovative program for children in grades one and higher, resumes for a six-week Spring Session on Wednesday, April 15, 3:30 p.m., at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Elm Street, in Walpole. Art After School encourages creativity and builds community. Professional artists, including Racheal Scott of Walpole Artisans and retired art teacher Joan d’Alessio, lead each session. Spring session projects include drawing, going on a nature hunt to find items for a special sculpture project, painting on T-shirts, and drawing in the style of famous artists. The cost is still just $15 for 6 weekly sessions. Scholarships are available so that every interested child can participate.
Art After School welcomes new participants. Interested students need to be in grade one and higher. Parents need to fill out a registration form which they can get by contacting Susan Kershaw at St. John’s Church (756-4533 or rector@stjohnswalpole.org).
