BIGGER, BETTER WALPOLE BOOK SALE COMING OCTOBER 27 & 28

BIGGER & BETTER is the only way to describe this year's Halloween weekend BooK & Tag Sale produced annually by the Friends of the Walpole Town Library!

Thanks to a generous donation of hard cover books from a prominent bookseller and equally thoughtful gifts from readers in the area, thousands of gently-used hardcover volumes and paperbacks will be available at bargain prices on Saturday October 27 and Sunday October 28.

The sale is held both days at the Walpole Town Hall --Saturday 9:00 am until 2:00 pm (no early birds please), Sunday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Every category of book goes on sale: best-sellers, mysteries, autobiographies, cook books, garden books, children's books, reference books - -to name a few. Traditionally prices are slashed after Sunday noon, going as low as $1.00 for a box of books.

The hundreds of people attracted by the Friends' book sale also browse the tag sale tables, making a great source of potential buyers. Books are not allowed, but housewares, garden tools, jewelery, china, linens, small appliances, craft items are just a few of the possibilities. Tables rent for $25 each.

Refreshments, served by St. John's Episcopal Church on Saturday and Boy Scout Troop #299 on Sunday, will include a pre-ordered box lunch on Saturday. Coffee, drinks, and snacks will be available both days. For complete information, call chairman Carol Christian at 756-3879.
