Lyn Cooke, President of the Friends of the Walpole Town Library, asked me to remind you that now is the time to join (or rejoin) the Friends by paying your annual dues. The dues are only $10 for an individual, $15 for a family, and $30 (or however more you’d like to contribute) to be a patron! What a bargain! In return, the Friends make very substantial contributionsto the Library and otherwise support its outstanding programs and staff. Last year alone, Friends’ support of the Library enabled it to update its World Book Encyclopedia and the Modern Nation Series, to purchase language tapes, and to provide membership passes to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Currier Museum of Art and the Mariposa Museum. And a specially designed computer desk and computer for use is on order.
